Ok, I'm trying again to post.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Locker tops my (as-yet-unmade) list as well.
But you seem to have forgotten Blind Side, haha.
I almost included it in my list of mishaps by default, but in all fairness I haven't seen it, so possibly everyone is correct. . .but that trailer, Richard! That trailer is so -- < shudders >
ReplyDeleteI seriously considered seeing Blind Side while I was in Arkansas, just to see for myself. There's a local LR film critic that I like (Philip Martin), a cantankerous fellow prone to controversial statements, who partially defended it by saying something (outrageous?) along the lines of this: Is Streep's impression of Julia Child really significantly more impressive than Bullock's impression of _____(I can't remember her character's name)? He also says the best film of the year is _That Evening Sun_ (I think because it is southern and his friend Ray McKinnon is in it). I need to become more controversial in my reviews! Do you know the critic Armond White? He's always causing trouble by trashing everything the legitimate critics like and praising stuff like Transformers II.
